Ribbon keyboard shortcuts The ribbon groups related options on tabs. Use the arrow keys to select Close, and then press Enter. Ctrl + Y: It is used to redo the last task. Ctrl + X: It is used to cut the selected text. Ctrl + V: This shortcut is used to paste the copied text. Ctrl + C: This shortcut is used to copy the text selected by the user. Top of page Close a task pane To close a task pane using the keyboard: Press F6 until the task pane is selected. Given below are the different Microsoft word shortcut keys: Ctrl + A: This shortcut is used to select all contents of the word document.
